The Four Phases of the Program
Phase 1: Abacus skill mastery
Learn every level your future students will study: abacus structure and bead values, correct finger technique, direct addition and subtraction, small friends and big friends formulas, combination formulas, multiplication, division, decimals and mental arithmetic through visualisation. Regular speed and accuracy tests make sure you master each level before moving on.
Phase 2: Teaching methodology
Learn how children learn abacus and how to teach them well. This covers age-wise teaching for 5–14 year olds, lesson planning, using flash cards, listening sums and games, correcting common finger and visualisation mistakes, homework design and moving students between levels.
Phase 3: Teaching practicum
Put your skills into practice. You conduct demo and practice classes under trainer supervision, receive feedback on your delivery, and learn to handle real classroom situations, from a distracted child to a parent asking about progress. You certify once you pass the final skill assessment and teaching evaluation.
Phase 4: Launch and growth
Get ready to open your classes. We guide you on choosing a home, online or centre-based format, setting batch sizes and timings, pricing, running a free demo class, local and social media promotion, and parent communication. After launch, our team stays available for mentoring as you grow.
